This workshop is designed for anyone interested in learning how to create a successful grant application.
You will learn how to:
- Identify key elements of successful grant writing.
- Determine the right funding source for your program.
- Write grant proposals that funders want to fund

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
=========
Janis (Gray) Thompson has been writing competitive grants for local, state and federal funds for over 30 years. She is currently a Grant Writer and Development Specialist at Grayson College and was formerly the Director of the Area Agency on Aging at TCOG. She has worked with community, state, national leaders; local, state, federal governments; and state/national legislatures to create or expand a wide variety of grant-funded programs.
Betty Roether has been a community grant writer for 17 years writing funding requests for numerous organizations to local, state, national agencies and foundations. She has written for the Crisis Center, Denison Performing Arts, Preston Volunteer Emergency Services, and the Pottsboro Area Library. She is currently researching funding possibilities for a new library building and community garden.
