Book Sigining & Dialogue
The Sherman Museum will have a book signing and dialogue with author Jeff Goodman about the James Swann paintings, Three Muses. These paintings have been hanging on the museum's wall since they were installed in 1934. They are unique in that Swann did not do a lot of paintings, and they are the only public works of art commissioned for Grayson County during The New Deal. We have signed copies of the book for sale in our gift shop and all of the proceeds will go toward conserving and restoring the paintings.
